The Student Welfare Department looks after the general students’ needs, both personal, social and academic. It is a liaison office between students on the other hand. The outside-campus world includes government and its organs, sponsors, health services, churches, potential employers and families.  The Dean of Student Affairs heads this department and it employs Student Welfare Officers and Student Counsellor in Guidance and Counselling, Student Affairs, Sports and Recreation. Under this department also belong the Medical Officer and Nurses for the University Health Centre.

Wardens and student welfare officers  are responsible for students' well being.
