LECTURER IN BIOLOGY EDUCATION

The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the above position:

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

A candidate must hold a PhD degree in Biology Education and have a Biology teaching experience at high school level or tertiary Biology teacher education experience. A Masters degree in Biology Education (MScEd) or Masters in Education (MEd) with Biology focus with Biology teaching experience at high school level may be considered. Experience of supervising at post graduate level will be an added advantage. In addition, the incumbent must have relevant research experience and discernable potential/capacity to initiate projects and activities relevant to the teaching and learning of Biology.

Duties for Teacher Educator:

• Teaching Biology Education courses at both undergraduate and post – graduate levels,
• Supervising students’ research projects,
• Supervising students during Teaching Practice,
• Conducting research and engage in relevant community activities
• Performing any other duties that promote and develop the department as may be assigned from time to time.

Remuneration:

The University offers salaries and other benefits commensurate with qualification and experience.

Employment type:

Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable terms for Locals, and Two Years Contract for Non-Locals
