Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer in Special/Inclusive Education

The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the above position:

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

The applicant must:

  1. Hold a minimum of PhD in Special or Inclusive Education.
  2. Have done a relevant master’s degree.
  3. Have at least two years of relevant teaching experience at tertiary level
  4. Show potential to do research and publish

To be appointed as a Senior Lecturer a candidate must

  1. Have at least three research papers published in accredited journals.
  2. Have experience supervising master’s degree dissertations.
  • The candidate must already be in the rank of Senior lecturer in their previous employment, or she/he will be appointed as a lecturer for at least two years.

Duties and responsibilities:

A successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Mentor junior professionals in the department and faculty.
  • Teach relevant courses at undergraduate and post graduate levels.
  • Supervise master dissertations and subsequently PhD thesis.
  • Undertake research and publish in the relevant area of specialisation, and
  • Perform any other duties as shall be determined from time to time by the Department and Faculty.

Employment Type:

Permanent and pensionable for locals and two years renewable contract for expatriates

The University offers salaries and other benefits commensurate with   qualifications and experience.
