The Faculty of Law kick started a Postgraduate Diploma in Pension Law Studies, an academic program in October 2022. This is a new executive education programme established by the Faculty through the Metropolitan Research Chair in Pension Law studies. The Metropolitan Research Chair was established to achieve a three pronged mandate, one of which is the development of accredited professional education training programmes.

The new programme was introduced as part of this mandate. The Postgraduate Diploma in Pension Law Studies was provisionally accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE) in August 2022. Following this decision, the Faculty opened the program for online applications. Seventeen students have been admitted, and an orientation session was held on 17th October, 2022. Classes commenced on 24th October, 2022.
