NUL Student Representative Council (SRC) organized a successful cleaning campaign stretching from the campus grounds to key off-campus areas along the main road. The initiative was notably led by the Vice-Chancellor Professor Isaac Olusola Fajana, who demonstrated hands-on leadership by joining students and community volunteers in cleaning efforts.
The campaign was aimed at fostering a sense of responsibility for the environment among students and residents while strengthening the bond between the university and its surrounding community. The Vice-Chancellor’s active participation in the campaign stood out as a highlight of the day. Equipping with gloves and waste collection tools encouraged students and the community to take pride in maintaining a clean and sustainable environment.
Addressing the participants before the campaign, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized the importance of social responsibility and community engagement.
The campaign drew a diverse participation from NUL students, SRC and the Roma Community, who worked diligently to collect litter, sweep pathways, and clear overgrown areas along the main road leading to off-campus neighbourhoods.
