Staff Faculty: Education

Rasebate is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Language and Social Education (LASED), in the Faculty of Education. He teaches 3rd and 4th years students Religious Education courses. His research interest is in the areas of religion and theology, with specific concentration on religious pluralism, religious inclusivism, political philosophy of religion, political theology and African indigenous religions.

Prof. Mohaeka Raselimo is an Associate Professor in Education. He holds a Master of Education (MEd) in Geography Education from the National University of Lesotho and a PhD in Education (Geography Education) from Rhodes University, in South Africa. He has a deep understanding of the education system in Lesotho based on his teaching and research experience in local secondary schools, participation in curriculum development processes of the Ministry of Education & Training, and as teacher educator in geography education for over twenty years. His research focal areas, in which he has published widely, are Geography Education, Curriculum Development and Environmental Education. Prof. Raselimo has served as member of Higher Education Quality Assurance Committee (HEQAC) of Council on Higher Education (CHE) for two consecutive terms. He is currently a member of a number of regional professional associations such as Environmental Education Association of Southern Africa (EEASA) and South African Society of Geographers (SASG).

Mahao Mahao is a lecturer in the field of Literature in English Education. Apart from lecturing, he has acted and continues to act in different capacities as English Language examiner and reviewer for the Examinations Council of Lesotho. He is also heavily involved in social activities as Chairperson of Malealea Development Trust – a community organization whose work centres on community projects, orphans & vulnerable children, education and health & well-being. He also regularly writes an opinion column for Lesotho Times newspaper and to date has penned over 75 opinion articles. He has been an internal PhD thesis examiner for the National University of Lesotho. His research interests include curriculum development, digital media and the teaching of African literature, digital media and online safety, translanguaging and digital media in the classroom.
