Staff Faculty: Business Administration (DBA)

Motšelisi Mokhethi is the Associate Professor of entrepreneurship in the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Social Sciences. Her administrative experience progressed from being a tutor in the Faculty of Social Sciences, Head of the Department, Deputy Dean and finally the Dean of the Faculty between 2013 and 2016. She served as the Quality Assurance representative in the faculty. Her research interest is in entrepreneurship, International business, and service quality under different settings like higher education, health sector etc. She has served in numerous boards for government organizations and the mining sector. She has also been involved in some consultancy projects In 2016 she was awarded a SADC South-Life Achiever as the Africa’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government Awarded by CEO Global at Centurion in South Africa. She actively participates in the political space in the country and is currently the Secretary General of the Lesotho Congress for Democracy (LCD).

Mr. Lenyora Sesinyi is a lecturer in Introduction to Programming (Python), Business Information Systems, Accounting Information Systems (Accounting Software Packages) under the Department of Business Administration. He has over 15 years’ experience which combines both industry and academia in a number of areas. He possesses the following industry certifications: ITIL V3 -foundation, ITIL intermediate- Service strategy, Artificial Intelligence with IBM. His research interests and engagements are in Big Data & Analytics, Blockchain use cases in Health, digital entrepreneurship & marketing and Cybersecurity.

Ms Ramalefane joined NUL in 2006. She lectures Financial Accounting; Taxation and Public Sector Accounting courses in the Department of Business Administration. Her research interests are mainly in taxation; and to some extent in accounting and finance. She has supervised more than 10 undergraduate students within the Department. At faculty level, she gained a vast administrative experience while serving as Faculty tutor for both first and second year students in different terms. The same experience was further heightened when she served as head of the Department from 2021 to 2023. She is currently one of the board of directors for BEDCO, a Government institution. In addition, Ms Ramalefane has extensive experience working in the Government Institution as the tax administrator. That is where her passion in taxation was unleashed. A member of Lesotho Institute of Accountants (LIA) in good standing, was in 2004 appointed as one of the members of the Revenue Appeals Tribunal Lesotho. She is currently the external examiner for two professional papers regulated by LIA. · Examiner for taxation module offered by Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) to Lesotho candidates; and · Examiner for the Public Financial Management module offered to the Lesotho Government Accountants enrolled for Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) examinations.

Currently, Mr Henry Ababio lectures Management Accounting (Final year), Financial Accounting and Reporting (Third year) and Strategic Management (Final year) at the National University of Lesotho (NUL). During the previous academic year, he lectured Financial Management (third year) and Business Research Methodology (third year) in addition to Management Accounting (Final year). As a professional accountant, auditor and an academic, Mr. Henry Ababio intermittently blends academic work with management consultancy and accountancy practice. He joined the National University of Lesotho (NUL) in 2015 at the back of extensive experience in corporate financial management, business management, auditing and lecturing. This predisposes Mr Ababio to a broad vista of cross-pollination and fertilisation of knowledge and ideas which is filtered through experiential analysis and sharing of information, a characteristic he uses to good effect in the course of undertaking his lecturing activities and supervising the research work of undergraduate students at NUL. Mr Ababio is the current examiner for Audit and Assurance (Paper 6) and Budget and Information Systems (Paper 4) for the newly-introduced Lesotho Professional Accountancy Programme (LePAP). He is also the moderator for T3 Financial Accounting. In addition these responsibilities, he acts as a consultant for various businesses where he provides accounting and finance together with management consultancy services. He serves on the SAMBIO board as the business and finance advisor. He is the chairperson of the Mercy Foundation, an NGO that seeks the welfare of underprivileged children which is based in Borokhoaneng. He is keen in rolling up his sleeves to take to the world of research and publication and endeavour to make his humble contribution to the fields of scholarship, teaching and research in the University.

Paul Monyolo is currently Head of Department of Business Administration. He teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His teaching and supervision areas are in the fields of Entrepreneurship, Human Resources Management, Human Resources Development, Strategic Management and Employment Relations International Business. His research interests are in areas of Entrepreneurship, Human Resources Management and Organisational Behaviour, with particular emphasis on Entrepreneurial Intentions, Employee Training, and Organisational Citizenship Behaviour. His research has also been presented in academic conferences and published in various Journals. He is a member of The Southern African Institute of Management Scientists (SAIMS). He sits in several university committees and Business Plan Assessment Panels. He is also a chairman of NUL Board of Trustees. He is currently a member of 14th NUL Council.

Mapalo Mohasi, a mother and a community member, with passion in Positive Organisational Scholarship. Employed by the National University of Lesotho (NUL) in Sept 2017, focused in Organisational Behaviour, Human Capital Management, Training & Development, Contemporary issues in HRM and Principles of Management (DBA). She is competent in Learning and Development, where she engaged in a number of Train the Trainer programs like Performance Management, Talent Management, Coaching, and Leadership Development. She has experience working in various Government Ministries like Finance, Development Planning (NMDS) and the Public Service focused on core HR activities. She is experienced in Project work with focus in Restructuring of the Accounting Carder, Census (Min of Finance), and rolling out of the Global Leadership Behaviours (MMB). Research interests · Work-Family Support/ enrichment · Science of happiness at work · Job embeddedness and POB · Gender Equity, Inclusion and Diversity · Learning and Development Membership and Community Engagement She is a member of the Lesotho Volleyball Association (LVA) and co-owns a Volleyball Club called Hflow, registered under LVA in 2016. She is a member of the LGBTQI community focused on LBQ Wellness and support.

Reginah M. Thetsane is an Associate Professor in Marketing Management and Strategic Management in the Department of Business Administration of the National University of Lesotho (NUL). Her research interests are on Marketing, Management, Entrepreneurship, Tourism and Business Education. She has been conducting commissioned research and providing professional services in different areas for Lesotho Government and some international organisations. She has authored and co-authored some peer -reviewed articles, accredited conference proceedings and books. She has been engaged in several other professional activities including examination of PhD theses and Masters’ dissertations, supervision of undergraduate research and reviewing of research papers. She serves in International Editorial Advisory Boards in different higher learning Institutions Boards both locally and internationally and she also served as a Board member in several organizations both locally and outside the country. She is an entrepreneur, a qualified trainer of women entrepreneurs, certified by the International Labour Organization (ILO).
