Dr. Aletta 'Matopollo Monyake
Dr. Aletta ‘Matopollo Monyake holds a PhD in Adult Education from the University of Kwazulu Natal (UKZN), Masters in Adult Education, Bachelor of Education (Adult Education) and Diploma in Adult Education from the National University of Lesotho. Dr. Monyake is a qualified Primary school teacher holding a Diploma in Education from Associate College of Preceptors (ACP) as well as Primary Teachers Certificate from the National Teacher Training College.
Dr Monyake has skills and approaches in teaching young people and adults (Pedagogy vs Andragogy). She has twenty-three (23) years of blended teaching and learning experience at NUL. She facilitated courses including: Introduction to Adult Education, Principles and Practice of Adult Education, Contemporary issues in Adult Education, Adult Education Teaching Methods and Techniques, Psychology of Adult Learning, Pedagogies in Adult Education, Sociology of Adult Education, Advanced Research Methods in Adult Education and Adult Education and the Workplace.
In her 23 years of lecturing at NUL, she also supervised Diploma and Degree research projects. At Masters Level, she has successfully supervised dissertation proposals and full dissertations. Dr. Monyake has published books, Monographs and articles to accredited peer-reviewed journals internationally. She has reviewed books and developed self- instructional materials for the Degree programme. She has knowledge and experience in conducting research in South Africa and in Lesotho. She is currently working at (NUL) in the department of Adult Education as a Lecturer and Master’s Degree Research Supervisor. She coordinated the Degree programme and is the substantive Head of Department.

This is a step towards accomplishing your educational goals.
