a. Undergraduate Sub-Degree Programme
Preamble
Candidates applying for sub-degree programmes are considered eligible for admission if they have:
- Sat for a minimum of six (6) subjects in LGCSE examinations.
- Obtained a D grade or better in at least five (5) subjects including English Language
Diploma in Spiritual Care and Counseling
Requirements
LGCSE or its equivalent in the 3rd class pass
A pass in English Language
Aggregate not exceeding 40 in the best five (5) passed subjects.

b. Undergraduate Degree Programme
Bachelor of Arts in Practical Philosophy and Applied Ethics
Requirements
Candidates who have successfully completed Diploma in Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics shall be considered for admission. Such candidates when admitted will start their programme at the second year level of this programme.
Candidates who come from other institutions and who in the opinion of the Department hold equivalent qualification. The candidates will either be admitted into either the First Year or Second Year level depending on the individual case as recognised by the Department of Philosophy.

Obtained a C grade or better in at least four (4) subjects including English Language

Requirements
The normal entry requirements for candidates shall be:
Diploma in Library and Information Studies or equivalent. Such candidates when admitted will start their programme at the second year level of this programme.
Requirements
Candidates who apply for admission into the Bachelor of Library and Information Studies programme must satisfy the General Regulations into the BA degree of the Faculty of Humanities.
For admissibility into Year 1, applicants must have:
Sat for a minimum of Six (6) subjects of the Lesotho General Certificate (LGCSE) examinations.
Obtained C grade or better, in (4) subjects including English Language.
Obtained a D in the remaining two (2) subjects chosen from designed five subject groups and a minimum Admission Point Score (APS) that shall not exceed 26.

Holders of the Bachelor Library and Information Studies degree will be expected to occupy positions in academic, special, college and public libraries and private and parastatal organizations as teacher-librarians, assistant librarians, library officers and librarians or information resource managers, archivists, records managers.

Postgraduate Diploma in Development Studies
Requirements
At least second class 2nd division (2:2) with Mean 60 in the Social Sciences, Humanities and/or any related preferred junior degree recognized by NUL.
Advanced certificate in Development Studies, with at least 3 Credits in development related subjects, with 4 years continuous work experience in the institution or agency recognized by the Development Studies department and its Faculty.
Equivalent criteria as may be approved by the department and the Faculty.

Requirements
BA degree, preferably in History, or cognate disciplines; or a post-graduate diploma
Have taken and passed undergraduate majors offered in the Department of Historical Studies at grade Second Class-Second Division, or better, and to have scored, in relevant Department of Historical Studies’ courses, an average of 65%, or higher
Applicants in possession of relevant work experience equivalent to any of the above qualification plus proven ability to conduct research and write will also be considered for admission.

Requirements
To be admitted into the programme, students will need to possess at least one of the following from recognized higher education institution(s):

An undergraduate degree of grade Second Class, Second Division (II.ii)
Relevant work and other experience equivalent to any of above qualifications
